In over night news, it has been reported that Terri Schiavo started to respond to stimuli last night.
During her nightly bath, one of the orderlies accidently brushed her nipple, elliciting a motor response from Terri. The orderly immediately told the doctor. On hearing this, the doctor felt it important enough to notify Michael Schiavo.
"I know we've tried everything Mr. Schiavo, but I think there may still be hope yet. One of our orderlies accidentally rubbed her nipple and got some sort of response from Terri. Perhaps if you tried something a little more stimulating we might be able to get her out of this terrible condition. I know this might be hard to hear, but if you'd give it a chance, maybe it could be the answer. Perhaps some oral sex could help her."
Sources say that despite initial misgivings, Mr Shiavo agreed that nothing else had worked so far, and it was worth a try.
Unfortunately, a couple of hours later, Mrs. Schiavo's cardiac monitor alarm was activated, causing doctors to rush to her bedside. Mr Schiavo is reported to have said "I think she choked."
Oh my God, you're going to hell. And so am I probably, considering that I laughed.
Wow. If that was my spouse, I'd strangle the Republicans for doing this to her. They've turned her into a sick joke, all for political gain. Does dignity mean anything to them? I guess these are the same people who only believe in human rights and the sanctity of life when they can use it to get stupid Christians to vote for them.

Bush signed a law in Texas that expressly gave hospitals the right to remove life support if the patient could not pay and there was no hope of revival, regardless of the patient's family's wishes. It is called the Texas Futile Care Law. Under this law, a baby was removed from life support against his mother's wishes in Texas just this week. A 68 year old man was given a temporary reprieve by the Texas courts just yesterday.

Those men got 100's of calls from news outlets because of Terri's case, and since have gotten more publicity than they know what to do with, simply because they jumped on the bandwagon and used the case for their own selfish wants and needs. The Religious Right is not a movement; they are an industry that makes millions of dollars every fiscal year, telling people that they will change the world if they're given $50 every month until who-knows-when. At the time of this case they fought each other for time infront of the CNN and Fox News cameras. That makes me sick how hundreds of people (especially supposed men and women of God) could care about the life of one woman when thousands of people starve to death every single day. Let's face it; Terri Schiavo was damaged beyond repair. She had been through therapy, no matter how successful her parents claim it was, and it did nothing to improve her condition. She was, quite frankly, just another barely alive human being who would spend the rest of her life bed-ridden without any consciousness as to what was going on around her. She couldn't do anything for herself. The woman was a pathetic creature only bound to this meaningless life of hers because her parents couldn't bare to let go of her. We have to realize that we all face tragedy in our lives, but we always have to continue on without the lost ones whom we loved. The Schindlers are cowards, for they could not do that. Their fear of losing her was greater than their respect for their daughter's own wishes. The only reason why the public did not see that is because the Schindlers spent every second of theirs begging people for undeserved sympathy. Once they recruited the who's who in the right-to-life movement to be their allies their public image only became more appealing. Why anyone would want men and women who are borderline terrorists to become their spokespeople is beyond me. President Bush cut a vacation short so he could sign emergency Terri legislation, and yet years before he prolonged a vacation right as he was getting warnings from the FBI that the USA was potentially under attack from foreign terror groups. This should be appauling to anyone with any common sense. I hope the American people can learn a lot from this case. Michael Schiavo is not a killer in my mind but rather an angel of mercy who was viciously matyred by the pro-life movement. He represents someone who has the will to say "No!" to The Man when The Man isn't just. I wish Mr. Schiavo luck on his campaign to get rid of these nosy politicians. Tom DeLay and Bill Frist have taught me that the Republican Party is, indeed, the party of privacy until it comes time to make the most heart-breaking decision of your life. President Bush cut a vacation short so he could sign emergency Terri legislation, and yet years before he prolonged a vacation right as he was getting warnings from the FBI that the USA was potentially under attack from foreign terror groups. This should be appauling to anyone with any common sense. I hope the American people can learn a lot from this case. Michael Schiavo is not a killer in my mind but rather an angel of mercy who was viciously matyred by the pro-life movement. He represents someone who has the will to say "No!" to The Man when The Man isn't just. I wish Mr. Schiavo luck on his campaign to get rid of these nosy politicians. Tom DeLay and Bill Frist have taught me that the Republican Party is, indeed, the party of privacy until it comes time to make the most heart-breaking decision of your life. I wish good luck to everyone in the years ahead.
I find it a little disturbing that God-Fearing Christians (evidenced by their use of the phrase go to Hell) are less than 30 words later asking for someone to be haunted to death by Terri's spirit.
Anyone else see the slight ambiguity of believing in Hell (regardless of the religion you adhere to) and then denying Terri her place in whatever afterlife they believe she was bound for?
Mind you, judging from some of the comments I am expecting FAR too much of a purile and intellectually stunted majority.

5. You put way too much trust in corporations who'd steal from you if they get the opportunity to. Why trust companies when you don't trust the government (exception being colour-coded warnings, of course)? Don't let McDonald's or Disney raise your kid.
6. Your media and your government teach you to fear and obey. Will you listen? Those who shout the loudest aren't necessarily those who are the most honest.
7. You think everything can be solved with guns and bombs. Try that with a forest fire!
8. You let religious zealotry and ignorance dictate what you teach your kids. You really want your scientists to believe more in Adam and Eve than in the scientific processing of information?

Your politicians know the Bible says Jerusalem belongs to the Jews, so allowing Israel to force the Arabs who were born there to leave and slaughtering them if they don't is a morally righteous thing to do.
28. You funded terrorists during the Cold War to combat communism all while doing business with Red China at the same time. Is communism/socialism good for the Chinese but bad for the Afghans and Nicaraguans?
29. You shunned all relations with Iran after the hostage crisis and are thinking about bombing the place, yet you keep buying Iranian oil, thus helping them fund their nuclear program.
30. Your politicians will do anything in their power to stop an 18-year old from aborting her fetus, yet you don't mind creating a deficit which will cause that baby's generation to pay trillions of dollars in taxes.
31. You think if the UN doesn't agree with you, the problem must be the UN and not your proposal.
32. You go to war with Iraq on the excuse that Saddam Hussein was killing his own people, yet you support China which persecutes almost anyone, including Christians and capitalists, and Putin in Russia, who is practically a Soviet dictator. You also have a habit of ignoring genocide in Africa, like Darfur and Rwanda.
